Waiting of PF interest amount to be credited has ended now for EPFO members. Good news has came out that Employee Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has started crediting the interest amount to PF account holders. EPFO members are happy to see the added extra balance with their interest in PF account for the financial year 2021 - 2022.

The Finance ministry has passed the new interest rate earlier in June month this year. The government said that the all eligible interest amount being transferred to all the beneficiaries of Employee Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) members.
However, the EPFO members are not able to see the interest amount in the employee account statements. It was due to system upgrade. The finance ministry said that there is no loss to any EPFO subscriber. This There was some process going on to upgrade software due to some tax changes last year The government said this delay will not impact any loss to EPFO members. The eligible interest amount being transferred now for the FY22.
Please note that EPFO interest rate has been declined now to 8.10% this year comparing to last year interest rate of 8.5%. The government has approved this lower interest percentage in the last June month this year.
As per latest post on twitter by the Ministry of Finance. The department tweeted that EPFO subscriber will not get any loss in their interest money. The eligible interest money is being credited to the PF account holders. However, it was not visible to the members due to software upgradation on some tax changes.

If your UAN is active and registered on EPFO website, then you can easily check your PF account balance by just sending SMS. You have mobile you cand send a SMS to 7738299899. You you want to receive SMS in English language then type " EPFOHO UAN ENG" and send to given mobile number above. If you want to receive SMS in Hindi then type "EPFOHO UAN HIN"
How to check PF balance by a Missed call?
You have any mobile number you can just do a missed call on 011-22901406. Remember your UAN number should be registered on EPFO website. This missed call should be done only from registered mobile number with your UAN. It is mandatory to register your Aadhar and PAN number with your UAN number, then only you can check your PF account balance by any of these steps.
How to check PF balance on EPFO website?
If you have registered your UAN numbers on EPFzo website then You can access the PF passbook by providing your UAN and password. The opening and closing balances, as well as employee and employer contributions, will be detailed. The total of any PF transfers, as well as the amount of PF interest earned, will be displayed.
