COVID 4th Wave Rising | Work from home may reconsider for employees in India.

As per several reports, Companies are planning to reconsider work from home if 4th wave hits India. Initially, these 7 sectors will be on high alert in India.

  • IT
  • Travel
  • Transportation
  • Hospitality
  • Mobility
  • Automobile
  • Real Estate

These major sectors will be effective first to resume work from home model again if COVID 4th wave hits India.

The first and second COVID wave has changed the working model from WFO work from the office to WFH work from home for many companies.

As per the current scenario many companies resuming WFO for their employees. TCS, Infosys, Wipro, etc already taken strict action to initiate calling back to all employees for work from office.

Some top companies started WFO

Tata Consultancy Services has taken strict action to resume work from office in India. It was initiated in September month this year. TCS has sent an official mail to all employees to start work from office ASAP.

Wipro and Infosys also in the first mover list to resume WFO model back for all employees. Few employees may choose hybrid model.

Meesho also announced recently that WFH will be end effective June month next year. Meesho adopted flexible working model too.

Snapchat also said work from office will be shifted completely from February 2023.

Other companies as well ending 100% WFH and shifting to hybrid and WFO models only.

According to livemint, Anshuman Das, chief executive officer and co-founder of Careernet, a talent solutions provider said, “Hospitality, automobile, commercial and office real estate, Travel, transportation, and mobility will be on high alert.”

Current status of COVID 4th Wave

As per several media reports, more than 1000 Covid cases are being found in Delhi, frequent cases of Covid are also coming from big cities like Mumbai and Bangalore, and this problem is being seen in the Union Territories of the country as well, that’s it.

If we talk about China, 59 people have died in China in the last few days due to coronavirus, and active cases of Corona are being seen continuously.

The government has taken the decision to make the RT-PCR tests mandatory for passengers arriving from China, Japan, South Korea, Hing Kong and Thailand.

However, As per the current status, the active cases in India have been on a decline. But, companies in India are taking precautions in their hiring plans given the rising covid-19 cases in many countries and also due to coupled with fears of a global recession.

If COVID 4h wave hits India, then it will be a big challenge for many companies to resume work from office as companies are already in action currently to end WFH model for employees.
